The Board of Directors consists of no more than 56 individuals including the Association Chair, Chair-Elect and Vice Chair of the Board, two representatives of commercial finance companies, the Chairs of the Advisory Groups of the Section on Independent Operations, Vehicle, Mortgage and Card Divisions, the Chair of the Associate Member Advisory Board and the Chair of the State Government Affairs Committee.

Directors are elected by the membership of the Annual Meeting each fall. A list of Board nominees is presented by the Nominating Committee 30 days in advance of the election. Additional nominations must be signed by five active members and submitted to the Secretary at least ten days in advance of the election.
