2007 State Government Affairs Forum/NACCA Annual Meeting The purpose of this meeting is to provide an in-depth update on important issues affecting the industry at the state and local level. The Forum will focus on primary areas ranging from mortgage lending and insurance issues to electronic commerce and the challenges arising from industry consolidation through mergers and acquisitions. There is also a joint Administrators/Industry session with the National Association of Consumer Credit Administrators (NACCA) with the "Meet Your State Regulators Exposition" sponsored by NACCA. Attendance: 125+.


WHO SHOULD ATTEND?:
The forum is for State Government Relations professionals, attorneys, licensing staff, and examination staff in the finance industry and state administrators and their licensing and examination staffs.

REGISTRATION FEES:
Members: $575 for the first per person and $475 for each additional registrant from the same company.

Non-Members: $875 for the first per person and $775 for each additional registrant from the same company. * Non-member attendees must be eligible for AFSA membership. Please contact Alain Taylor at ataylor@afsamail.org if you have any questions about membership in AFSA.

Registrations must be received by September 10th to be listed in the registration directory.

Total of registration fees must accompany this form to effect confirmation. Forms received without the required amount will be returned. Make Checks Payable To: American Financial Services Association or provide credit card information
HOTEL AND TRAVEL INFORMATION:
Please CONTACT THE HOTEL DIRECTLY at 505-988-4455 to reserve your guest room at the special AFSA rate of $189 plus tax. The reservation deadline is Tuesday, September 4. However, rooms in the block are available on a firstcome, first-served basis. Our block almost always fills before the registration deadline. Please reserve your hotel as early as possible to ensure availability—this is a very popular time to visit Santa Fe. The hotel requires a one night’s deposit and the deposit becomes non-refundable if the reservation is not cancelled 72 hours prior to arrival.

Flight Information: Arriving at Albuquerque International Airport, Santa Fe is an hour by either rental car or shuttle service. Air service directly into Santa Fe is limited to small commuter flights.

CONTINUING LEGAL EDUCATION (CLE) CREDITS:
AFSA will apply for Continuing Legal Education (CLE) credits for the SGA Forum (actual number of credits to be determined). CLE credits are only available to registered conference attendees. A flat fee of $100 per person will cover the processing of the CLE materials and should be added to your registration total. AFSA will apply for CLE credits in the states requested by pre-registrants on the registration form.
CANCELLATIONS & REFUNDS:
All registration cancellations and refund requests must be made in writing to Hope Austin, at AFSA, 919 18th Street, NW, Suite 300, Washington, DC 20006 or email haustin@afsmail.org Full refunds will be given until 21 days prior to the first day of the meeting or conference. Between 20 and 7 days before the meeting, a $100 cancellation penalty will be retained. "No shows" and cancellations within 6 days of the meeting will be liable for the entire fee or individuals may send a substitute at no additional charge. Hotel deposit refunds are subject to the hotel policy.
SANTA FE TOUR INFORMATION:
INTERESTED IN JOINING YOUR COLLEAGUES FOR A WALKING TOUR OF SANTA FE? Santa Fe''s original 2½ hour walk is a leisurely stroll and a delightful introduction to the history and cultures of Santa Fe. The walk will begin at the main entrance of the Eldorado Hotel where 400 years of history surround you. Together, we will explore the best of Santa Fe, meandering through narrow streets, and wandering down the Old Santa Fe Trail. You''ll visit important historic sites, including Sena Plaza and the Barrio de Analco, see the San Miguel Mission, (oldest church in the USA), St. Francis Cathedral and the State Capitol complex. Cost is $10 for adults and $5 for children 12 and under. AAA, Frommer''s, and Fodor''s recommended

Please note: You will want to wear comfortable walking shoes as the tour covers approximately 2 miles of Santa Fe (mostly level ground) and the minimum number of participants for this tour is 12.
