Chicago Executive Honored with Consumer Finance Industry’s Highest Award
WASHINGTON, October 24, 2013 – Jonathon Levin, president & CEO of Turner Acceptance Corp., has been honored with the American Financial Services Association’s (AFSA) Distinguished Service Award (DSA).
Levin was one of three executives to receive the 2013 DSA during AFSA’s 97th Annual Meeting in Washington, D.C. The association’s highest honor, the DSA is given to individuals who have contributed significantly to the industry and the association’s growth on a national level, advanced its mission and objectives, and raised its image.
Currently, Levin serves on the AFSA Board of Directors, Independents Section Advisory Board – which he chaired 2011-2012 – the Independent Auto Finance Executives Group, the Vehicle Finance Division Advisory Board and the AFSA Education Foundation Endowment Committee.
Levin joined Turner Acceptance in 1992 as the General Manager. In 2004, he became full owner of the consumer finance company. Before joining Turner, he had a short stint with a trading firm at the Chicago Board Options Exchange. Levin holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Boston University.
Levin also serves as president of the Independent Finance Association of Illinois and on the board of the National Automotive Finance Association. He is involved in many charities, including the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, JDRF and Kaleidoscope, a child welfare agency in Chicago.
Based in Washington, D.C., AFSA (www.afsaonline.org) is the national trade association for the consumer credit industry, protecting access to credit and consumer choice. Its 350 members include consumer and commercial finance companies, auto finance/leasing companies, mortgage lenders, credit card issuers, industrial banks and industry suppliers.
