The 4th Annual Finance Industry Conference for European Fixed Income Investors held April 28-29 was a huge success. Fourteen finance companies presented over a two-day period. Standard & Poor's and FitchRatings sponsored the event along with 14 capital market sponsors. The opening session was kicked-off by 2004 conference chairman Rich Eisenberg, treasurer & director of corporate finance and included a rating agency panel with representatives from both Fitch and S&P. The keynote address was delivered by Paul McCulley, managing director with PIMCO/Alianz in Newport Beach, California. Small group discussions between investors and finance companies were made available on both days and at hosted lunches and breakfast. The format, location, overall program and investor turnout proved to be a winning combination. The conference attracted over 70 investors and registrants from 12 countries.
