MEETINGS/CONFERENCES
2005 AFSA Annual Meeting and Leadership Conference to Focus on "The Ethical Road to Success"
The AFSA Annual Meeting, now in its 89th year, has been designed to meet the growing challenges faced by the corporate CEOs and senior managers of its member companies. Over the years, this event has become the preeminent conference for AFSA and its members. This year's conference will look at such issues as global markets, technology innovations, consumer markets and the important challenges leaders face on a daily basis. The two days will be filled with provocative speakers, thoughtful dialogue and abundant networking opportunities.
This year's theme focuses on ethics. Ethical leadership in government, business, entertainment and politics has a direct impact on everyone, and the country faces a cultural and business climate that affects the direction of all organizations. Learn why the ethical road to success is the only road to success.
The conference will be led by AFSA Chairman of the Board—Thomas Hallman, Vice Chairman, Specialty Finance, CIT Group Inc. In addition, the Leadership Conference will feature several high-powered general sessions, including a keynote address on ethics by former Ohio congressman John Kasich, followed by a discussion with professor William Dunkelberg on Profiting from Business Ethics; a general session update on Government Affairs issues effecting the industry to be presented by a panel of experts. Trends and Persuasions in American Society presented by Dan McGinn will cover how the ever- changing American culture and economy are influencing and changing the way America conducts business. The closing speaker on Tuesday will be announced soon.
