New GMAC Rep Joins AFSA Board

Carol Knorr of GMAC Financial Services has recently taken an early retirement. As a result, Gregory K. Merryman has taken her place on the AFSA Board of Directors in the Class of 2005.

Mr. Merryman joined the GM Legal Staff in June 1980 and has been a member of the GMAC Financial Services Legal Staff since its formation in 1999. He served as GMAC's Corporate Secretary from September, 1994 to August, 1997. He is a member of the Governing Committee of the Conference on Consumer Finance Law and a member of the Consumer Financial Services Committee of the American Bar Association Section of Business Law. He is also the Chairman of the Auto Financing Subcommittee of the AFSA Law Committee and the author of Regulation of Corporate Political Activity, 1983 through 1996 editions, published by the Bureau of National Affairs.

Mr. Merryman is a graduate of Olaf College and received his J.D. degree from Stanford University in June 1980. He was first assigned to the Appellate Practice and Research practice group of the GM Legal Staff. In April 1985, he was assigned to the Credit and Insurance practice group, handling GMAC matters.
