AFSA will host a dinner at the Annual NCSL Conference and Exposition in Seattle, Washington, on Monday, August 15, 2005. Up to 6,000 people are expected to attend this year's conference. The association also will host a booth at NCSL's exposition for the third year in a row. The AFSA booth will be staffed throughout the event and will feature financial literacy materials from AFSA and from member companies. NCSL's newly developed resource packet "Financial Literacy A Primer for Policymakers" was unveiled at NCSL's recent Spring Forum. As part of the NCSL Banking Partnership and the Foundation for State Legislators, AFSA State Government Affairs worked closely with the NCSL Finance Committee and staff to craft this first-ever NCSL-published primer on Financial Literacy designed specifically for state legislators.
