AFSA Hosts Financial Literacy Luncheon
for NCSL Spring Forum

On April 6, AFSA hosted a luncheon for the National Conference of State Legislatures (NCSL) Financial Services Committee during its annual Spring Forum in Washington, DC. Nearly 30 members and guests attended.

The event's theme was financial literacy. Committee participants heard from Susie Irvine, president and CEO of the AFSA Education Foundation; Dara Duguay, director of the Citigroup Office of Financial Education; Loretta Abrams, HSBC vice president of Consumer Affairs; and Dan Iannicola, Jr., Deputy Assistant Secretary for Financial Education, U.S. Department of the Treasury.

Prior to the luncheon, the Banking Partnership of the NCSL Foundation for State Legislatures participated in an AFSA-arranged VIP tour of the Federal Reserve Board and received a private briefing by Board Governor Mark W. Olson.
