Newt Gingrich to Keynote 90th Annual Meeting

Former Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich (R-GA) will be the keynote speaker at AFSA's 90th Annual Meeting and Leadership Conference scheduled for October 28-31 at The Ritz-Carlton Hotel, Washington, DC. The meeting's theme is "Leadership: Managing Change."

AFSA Chairman of the Board Thomas Hallman, will open the conference with the State of the Finance Industry Address. In addition, George Mason University's Professor of Economics Dr. Walter E. Williams will speak at Monday's lunch on "The Role of Government in a Free Society." Tuesday will be Committee Day, when AFSA's Committees of Professional Interest meet. A government affairs panel also is scheduled for that day.

The closing luncheon will feature former television star and congressman Fred Grandy (R-IA) on "Doing Well and Doing Good: Serving Something Larger than Ourselves." Look for registration materials online in early July and check the AFSA Web site at www.afsaonline.org for updates.
