Transition Tracker | AFSA Provides Preliminary Outline of Recommendations to Transition Team

As reported yesterday, Treasury Secretary nominee Steve Mnuchin said that the number one problem with the Dodd-Frank Act is that it is too complicated and cuts back on lending. He added that the number one priority of the new Treasury Department is to strip back the parts of Dodd-Frank that prevent lending.

To help the transition team and new administration expand lending, AFSA has put together a list of recommendations. (The recommendations are not listed in order of priority.)

The list of recommendations is a preliminary outline of initiatives that the transition team can review. As AFSA increases dialogue daily with out members and the transition team, we will identify issues to prioritize and prepare detailed memos on how they can be addressed.
