Himpler to Follow Cordray in Congressional Testimony Next Week March 31, 2017 On Wednesday April 5 at 10:00 a.m. ET, Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) Director Richard Cordray will testify before the House Financial Services Committee. His testimony is his first semi-annual report to the 115th Congress. On Thursday April 6, AFSA Executive Vice President Bill Himpler will testify before the same committee as part of a panel. The other panelists have not yet been released and a start time has not been announced as of press time. The discussion will center on key issues that lenders are facing with regard to being regulated by the CFPB. The House Financial Services Committee, chaired by Rep. Jeb Hensarling (R-TX), has been eager to work for more transparency and accountability at the CFPB. Both hearings will be available on CSPAN and can be streamed live from the committee’s website.
